About Lake Country Power
Lake Country Power is a Touchstone Energy® cooperative serving the rural regions of northern Minnesota. The electric cooperative provides electricity and other energy related services to more than 41,000 members. It maintains nearly 8,000 miles of distribution line covering parts of Aitkin, Carlton, Cass, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, Pine, and St. Louis counties. The service centers are located in Grand Rapids, Kettle River and Virginia.
Lake Country Power was formed on January 1, 1997 when the memberships of three electric cooperatives, Carlton County Cooperative Power Association, Dairyland Electric Cooperative and Northern Electric Cooperative Association, voted to consolidate.
Lake Country Power serves the Northland, Arrowhead, Duluth MN Superior WI MSA, Aitkin, Carlton, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis county areas.
