Description:The Carlton County Central Labor Body is affiliated with the North East Area Labor Council, a coalition representing more than 40,000 workers.
The Labor Council’s goal is to constantly and consistently enhance the mobilization efforts of the labor movement in Northeastern Minnesota to better the lives of working people.
To accomplish this mission, the Council works to:
- Build a broad movement of Minnesota workers by helping workers join and form unions.
- Support Minnesota workers as they bargain with employers to improve their living conditions and workplaces, as well as their communities, state and nation.
- Strengthen the voice of Minnesota working families at all levels of government and in a changing global economy.
Carlton County Central Labor Body serves the Northland, Arrowhead, Duluth MN Superior WI MSA, and Carlton counties.
