Shovel Ready


The State of Minnesota's Shovel Ready program, which was developed in conjunction with the Positively Minnesota Marketing Partnership, certifies sites across the state that are "shovel ready" for development.

The Shovel Ready Site Certification Program addresses the technical and regulatory aspects of development.  Having this activity completed and the site certified before development discussions begin is a tremendous advantage when companies and site-location consultants come calling.

Currently the Northland has one site that is state-certified as shovel ready: CR63/Itasca Eco-Industrial Park.
