The Township of Solon Springs (2009 pop. est. 912) is nestled between 4-lane U.S. Highway 53 and Lake St. Croix. As the largest community in southern Douglas County, Solon Springs provides an abundance of business development and recreational opportunities. A 130-acre industrial park within a TIF district is fully served by utilities and well positioned for trucking transportation. The area is home to a number of trucking and manufacturing businesses.

The headwaters of the Brule and St. Croix Rivers, as well as the Lucius Woods Performing Arts Center, are located in Solon Springs.
